How strange a fate that you know not
Of the ways your existence affects me;
How my Moon orbits your Earth
My world a halo around your
Heavenly head,
My voice, my song like rings of Saturn,
Around your body swirl –
Out of touch by just a breath,
A little scared, a little at rest.
Fragile, in a sense –
Glaskugelwarheit.
I love you not like one loves a man –
I love you for the way you are all that I am.
On the great pages once written:
You are more myself than I am.
You are more myself than I am.
Your heart bleeds art into your veins,
Through your lips my lips they do tame.
Work hard you gorgeous soul
I never could resent,
Not then, not now, somehow the softness
Never ends.
The Softness Never Ends.
